National Seminar on Comparative Librarianship at Gauhati University

Call For paper: 

Interested Library and Information Science (LIS) professionals and other academicians can contribute paper in any of the sub-themes of the seminar. Article should be submitted in Microsoft Word format within 3000 to 8000 words in length. This includes text and references (as per APA citation styles) and appendices. 
All contributing author(s) name, designation and institutional affiliation should be mentioned in the correct order for publication. Author(s) must submit a structured abstract in their submission, set out under 4-7 sub-headings of Purpose (mandatory), Design/methodology/approach (mandatory), Findings (mandatory), Research limitations/ implications (if applicable), Practical implications (if applicable), Social implications (if applicable) and Originality/value (mandatory).

Papers submitted to the seminar must not have been published earlier in any form, or under consideration for publication with another publisher. Authors submitting paper for publication should transfer their copyright to the editor of the seminar. Each paper will be reviewed by a team of reviewer. The editor may make use of Urkund software for checking the originality of the papers received.

Registration:

LIS professionals and other academicians, Research Scholars and Students are welcomed to participate in the event. The Registration fee for the seminar is Rs. 300/- and need to be paid to the below mentioned account

The payment must be done only through cheque / draft / online transfer on or before 25th March, 2017. After payment of the fees, the participants shall have to get registered through online registration form. [link given below]

The registered alumni of DLISc, Gauhati University exempted from paying the registration fees. However, they need to get registered for the seminar by providing their details in the online registration form.

Accomodation:

The Organizing Committee may help the participants in arranging accommodation on prior intimation. Those who are in need of accommodation will have to pay the accommodation charges directly to the hotels/guest houses.
