This webinar will benefit library professionals and leaders as well as those looking for ideas and inspiration to enhance their journey of designing or re conceptualizing their library space.

The proliferation of library electronic resources in recent years has contributed to libraries’ dwindling loan rates for their physical collections. Particularly low usage of print collections coupled with demand from school administrators and users to transform library spaces to user spaces has spurred libraries to re conceptualize the use of library spaces. Users desire libraries to offer more interactive, flexible, and collaborative spaces and have certain expectations of how their library’s space, technology, and services can best serve their needs. Libraries in turn are injecting lifestyle elements such as bookshops, museums, cafes, maker spaces and exhibitions to entice visitors to their spaces.......

Key Highlights:
  1. Designing a Library from Scratch – Learning from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine Experience
  2. Exploring User Experiences and Library Spaces
  3. Balancing Physical Security and Access.
